Support your Club and win in this year’s competition
A new competition gives North Harbour Rugby Clubs the chance to show who gets their supporters’ blood rushing the most.
When people in the North Harbour area donate blood, they will be asked which Club they support. Each week the scores will be tallied and publish it next to the Premier points table in your local papers and on the North Harbour Rugby web site.
The bonus with donating blood is that each donation helps saves up to 3 lives. So when we publish the tally each week, we’ll let you know how many lives each club has saved that week.
At the end of the season, there are prizes for the clubs which save the most lives.
Just some of the prizes in this year’s package include:
And with even more prizes to come, this is one competition you don’t want to miss out on!
So, what do you have to do to show that your Club gets your blood rushing? It’s all about new and renewed donors. You can donate yourself or encourage as many of your fellow club members to head along to the blood centres any time during the season, and show that your club gets your blood rushing.
We’re also handing over the Donor Centre so that each Club will have its own Club Day to donate. This is one 3 hour session during the season for each Club to book out the Donor Centre at 441 Lake Road, Takapuna with 20 donors from their Club and supporters. We’ll get your Club colours into the place – there will be no doubt which Club is saving lives! Click here to see when your club’s day is.
Club donor days will be Monday afternoons between 12 noon and 3pm, except for Mahurangi which is on Wednesday the 9th of June. Clubs need to book ahead so everyone can be accommodated (phone Lynn on 486 7583).
Outside of that Club Day you can donate at all three Auckland Donor Centres or mobile centres around the Union and every donation will be counted. Just call 0800 448 325 or visit www.nzblood.co.nz.
Just as every point on the field counts, every unit of blood counts, so please get behind your club and the New Zealand Blood Service, and donate during this rugby season!
