It is compulsory for all Small Blacks coaches to have a NZRU Small Blacks accreditation applicable to the grade level they will be coaching every year. In 2011 only new coaches must attend the theory course with ALL coaches having to attend the practical course. Coaches who have attended and completed the requirements of the Small Blacks modules will be awarded a NZRU Small Black accreditation card.

The format for the Small Blacks course this year is a practical on the grass focus around the core skills of rugby: - Catch/Pass, Tackle and the Breakdown.  

North Harbour Rugby welcomes all rugby coaches to the 2012 season, as with the start of every season all coaches (Head & Assistant) plus trainers are expected to attend one of the two compulsory course offered by New Zealand Rugby Union via North Harbour Rugby Union.

These courses are: RugbySmart (Secondary and Senior Coaches), Small Blacks or Junior Coaching Course (Junior Club Coaches).

Coaches please remember to bring photo ID either New Zealand ID/Licence or New Zealand Passport, for Police vetting.
