Primary Schools Tournament

2012 PST Information and Dates

This year will be the 9th year in operation for the North Harbour Primary Schools Tournament and it has grown to be the largest Primary Schools Tournaments of its kind in the country. With three divisions, Yr 3&4 Mixed Rippa, Yr 5&6 Mixed Rippa and Yr 5&6 Tackle (Under 55 kgs) there is something for everyone. The 2012 tournament has over 215 teams entered from over 70 Primary Schools. The Year 5&5 Rippa and Tackle teams will be competing to contest the final at North Harbour Stadium. These finals are scheduled to be the curtain raiser for the North Harbour vs. Southland ITM Cup game on Saturday 22nd September.

Dates and Venues for all Modules

All module field days are scheduled for a Thursday in the week of play. All teams are to be assembled by 9.15am for a 9.45am start with

games finished and departure at 1.45pm.

Kumeu Module

Location: Kumeu RFC, Riverhead War Memorial Domain, Riverhead.

Glenfield Module

Location: Glenfield RFC, Kaipataki Park, Glenfield & Hato Petera, Takapuna

Hato Petera College – Thursday 6^th September (Save day Tues 11^th Sept)

Massey Module

Location: Massey RFC, Moire Park, Massey.

Silverdale Module

Locations: Silverdale RFC, Main Road, Silverdale and Mahurangi RFC – Warkworth Showgrounds.

East Coast Bays Module

Location: ECB RFC Windsor Park, Mairangi Bay.

Dates: Thursday 3^rd May (Save day Tuesday 8^th May), Thursday 14^th June (Save day Tuesday 19^th June) Thursday 9^th August (Save Day Tuesday 14^th Aug)

Schools: Albany, Browns Bay, Campbells Bay, Glamorgan, Kristin, Long Bay, Mairangi Bay, Murrays Bay, Oteha Valley, Pinehill, Pinehurst, Sherwood, Sunnynook, St Johns, Torbay Upper Harbour

Semi Finals/Finals

Top 2 teams in both Rippa Rugby and Junior Black for each module will qualify for the semi finals day which is to be held at North Harbour Marist on Thursday 20th September . Teams will be selected from the point’s tables that will record points from each module with both performance and sportsmanship contributing to the final standings. The two top teams from Rippa and Tackle will then proceed into the final which will be played on North Harbour Stadium as a curtain raiser to an ITM Cup game on Saturday 22^nd September.
