To celebrate their 25th Anniversary the North Harbour Rugby Union are giving all Harbour Rugby supporters the opportunity to pick their own best ever Harbour Rugby team.
It won’t be an easy job, since Buck Shelford was picked as Harbour’s first ever All Black in 1985 another 27 Harbour players have worn the All Blacks Jersey.
To make your job a little easier Harbour Rugby have asked two of their former coaches Peter Thorborn (coached for 8 years 1985-1991 and 1997) and Brad Meurant (coached for 4 years 1992-1994 and 1996) to pick their 60 best players (4 in each position).
All you have to do is pick your 25 Year Jubilee Team and we will compare it to the picks from the rugby experts, Murray Deaker, Wynne Gray, Lindsay Knight, Doug Golightly and Tony Johnson.
If your picks match up then you and 15 of your mates could be hosted in the comfort of a corporate box at the Harbour v Otago ITM Cup game on Thursday 19th August.
The Team and the winning entry will be announced at the 25th Jubilee luncheon on Sunday 1st August (prior to the Harbour v Auckland “Battle of the Bridge” and opening game of the 2010 ITM Cup).
