Situations Vacant – Junior Sportsmanship Convener

The North Harbour Rugby Council (JRC) is seeking the talents of a rugby enthusiast who would like to offer something back to the union and the code at junior level.

The junior section of the NHRU is the third largest in New Zealand. The JRC see sportsmanship as a critical area of our code that needs to be encouraged and enhanced by all stakeholders.

This position carries a long and respected history within our union and comes with a certain amount of responsibility. It will be the duty of the successful applicant to select three teams from our union that are deemed to perform with the highest level of sportsmanship and carry the values our code is known for.

The duties include;

• Fielding nominations from all the clubs in our union
• Viewing nominated teams or delegating that task if required
• Collating performance reviews and selecting overall winners
• Presenting the awards at prize giving’s is optional

This is a voluntary position that may suit a person who no longer actively participates in the game but still holds an interest in growing our national sporting code.

A NHRU all weather jacket will be available to the successful applicant, as well as full training and on going administration support.
